Sunrise Salmon Harvesting Tour
Shibetsu Town / September to October

The sounds of lively salmon echo through the harbor, along with the shouts of fishermen and local women, and the roar of boat engines. The sunrise viewed from the harbor in the early morning is truly special. This is one of the tours that you should experience while you're in Shibetsu.
Tour price: Adults 4,000 yen, Children 2,000 yen (tax included)
After returning from their morning fishing trip, local fishermen unload and sort the freshly caught salmon right at the port. Watching the illuminated fishing boats return before dawn and seeing each lively salmon carefully sorted up close is an unforgettable sight.
On a clear day, you may also catch a beautiful sunrise over the Nemuro Strait. Why not start your day at the fishing port?
Salmon have always been deeply connected to life in Shibetsu. This is one of the experiences we especially recommend when visiting the area—a chance to see the local fishing culture up close.
